Hi - My husband and I are taking our first cruise aboard the Norwegian Dream in August to Alaska. We are very "laid back" as in my husband hates to dress up. That is one reason we chose the Dream - for the freestyle cruising. Any advice on appropriate attire for dinner? Would he be able to get by with a nice shirt and a pair of black Wranglers? Khakis? We would like to hear about your cruise experience aboard the Dream and any advice you seasoned cruisers can give us. I am also wondering about the logistics of our shore excursions in Juneau. We booked a Mendenhall Glacier/Salmon Bake for the morning, and a gold panning thing for the afternoon. There are a couple of hours in between excursions. Are tour operators willing to drop you off somewhere else (if not out of their way) rather than take you back to the ship? We would like to explore Juneau a little bit on our own, and then make it back to the ship in time to catch our next tour, that's why the question. Sorry if I'm a bit ignorant, but just want to learn how these things work! Thanks for your help!
