Could any one tell about the spa on Glory? I have read that you could use the pool, sauna and showers free. Do you only pay for services? I would feel funny walking in and only using the pool. But then again I heard the pool in the spa is relaxing especially since I will be going the week after christmas. Maybe I should consider this huh? I have been on 2 RCCL cruises and NEVER stepped foot in the spa area, hense the reason I am skeptical.
Any advise will be greatly appreciated..

Hllo Jodier,

I've not been on the Glory, but on the Victory there were hot tubs in the spa/ gym area and also steam and sauna rooms there. They were open to all, and accessable from either the gym or through the spa. I used to use them all the time, and so did others. But you're right, it seemed a bit strange at first. I didn't even realize those features were there, (I don't use the gym ever) until I went for a massage, and talked to the people there, and saw other people coming in to use them. In a way that made it nice, because it was rarely ever crowded.

Now although not the same deck plan, the Glory seems to have it's hot tub and steam/sauna rooms set up in somewhat similiar way. I say don't pass up the opportunity.

Jodier,
The Glory spa is set up just like the Conquest. On the Conquest, we enjoyed the sauna/steam rooms, and especially the jacuzzi/hot pool. The hot pool has a pump that moves the water around gently, and the jacuzzi is much less crowded and more private than the ones out on deck. The area surrounding the pool is built up to look like boulders and plants, so it is really relaxing. I suggest that you build into your schedule a half hour or so to go relax (5 minutes steam, 5 minutes sauna, 10 minutes hot pool, 10 minutes jacuzzi) either in the morning, or just before you begin to get ready for dinner. Finish up with a shower in the spa area (Roomy stalls, and multiple shower heads). It will be the best relaxation therapy you have ever had, and it is included in your cruise price!

You do not have to pay for using the saunas or hot tubs. I like the hot tubs in the spa because no kids are allowed, only 18 and above so you can sit relax and not get splashed ( I speak from experience since my kids are the ones usually splashing in the outside hot tubs) The steam rooms are huge but I wish that I could sit in it with my husband instead of his and hers. I also love the sauna for the large picture window that you can sit and relax while looking out to sea. Definately worth a little bit of your time to try. I personally usually get a massage and facial at the beginning of each cruise as it sets my relaxation for the whole week, my skin feels beautiful, and unlike at home when you get a massage and then have to go home and clean house etc, on the ship you feel that massage all week long with no responsibilities.
