Inner Passage Casino Times?

Hi,all...First time cruiser here...have gotten many helpful tips from this board and others...thank you! Just wondering...my understanding is that the ship has to be a certain distance from shore before the casino is able to open...but I'm also told that you
don't really lose sight of land on the inner passage...so...can I plan on parting with my
$$$$$ in the ship's casino, or will I need to find something else to spend it on (which,
I'm sure, won't be hard to do)!!! Thanks in advance...

I never really thought about that on our recent trip. When at sea I'm sure it was open. Lots of the time we were in Canadian waters and open then......but I'm sure it was open all the time when in Alaska too and not at a Port.

The distance from shore thing did not seem to take place on inner passage cruise. It was not open when in port and waiting until we were a bit out. Heading northbound, you actually dock in Whittier around 1am. They shut things down before midnight in the casino.

The casino will be open once the ship has set sail and is a short distance away from port. Believe me my wife donated her share the whole time we were cruising Alaska LOL.
