Inside Promenade Staterooms

For our next 2 cruises we booked inside promenade cabins with windows facing the promenade on both the Freedom (deck 6) and the Explorer (deck 8) of the Seas.
We wanted to try something a little different. Does anyone have any experience with these types of cabins?

Looks interesting -- is there privacy & how about the nose level

I could not hear a thing. I was on deck eight. I don't know if there is more noise on decks six & seven.

The windows are NOT one way. If you want privacy, close the drapes ...

Great photos, Cruiser.

My first PR was on deck six and I was impressed with the soundproofing. Couldn't hear a thing. We were down in the Promenade for the Mardi Gras parade and the other functions so not sure if you'd hear that or not.

The PR cabins are slightly smaller than the regular inside cabins but not enough that you'd even notice.

Good point about keeping the curtains closed, especially when you're changing. You can easily see in to the cabins on the other side, especially the one right across from you.

Thanks for the photos, Cruizer! It think we will enjoy our inside promenade cabins.

They seemed to be as quiet as other rooms. However, when the seas were active, there was a lot of squeeking. The framework on the balcony windows moved around a bit.

We, too, have stayed in the PR's on the Voyager of the seas two different times. We absolutely loved the rooms. There was no noise coming from the promenade and people watching was excellent from the window. We enjoyed watching the parades from our window also!! Excellent choice!!
