Internet Hot Spots?

Hi Everyone,
We will be going on the Legend this fall, and I was wondering about a few things. I understand the pools are filled with salt water, but are they heated? Would they be comfortable to use near the end of October, traveling to Bermuda? I was also curious if the ships had wireless access to the internet like they do at the airports and such. Thanks for your help.

Yes they have internet service-with a fee of course. Not sure on the amount though.

I would double check on the wireless question. Most ships have Internet access, on their computers. I understood your question to be, "Do they have wireless hot spots"? I think only a few of the newest ships have this feature.

I sailed on the Pride (in March) and the Inspiration (in June) and they both had wireless capability. However, I was told the wireless hub is only in the internet cafe and has a relatively short range (would not work in your cabin for sure). Carnival will rent wireless cards ($10/day) or you can use your own. If you are running Windows XP, then the setup is pretty easy. If you are not running Windows XP, then they will give you some software to use to get hooked up. I do not believe there was anything extra, but the standard $3.95? charge to get hookep for internet service. I chose not to use it with my laptop as I just did not feel like lugging my laptop down to the internet cafe.

I have not heard if they are expanding the capability on the newer ships.

Thanks everyone for the information. The pools are heated and the availability of internet access is great news!

Thanks,
