I know they say you are not suppose to but I was wondering if it was possible to bring an Iron on the ship with you?

I've brought mine on all 10 cruises I've been on. It's not easy to iron on the little table in the cabin, but I've done it!!! A steamer also works, and they're not prohibited. :)

Edited to say that many Carnival ships have landry rooms with ironing boards and full irons, as well as washers and dryers.

please dont bring an iron on your cruise. they are a major fire hazard on a ship. a travel steamer, wrinkle releaser to spray on your clothes or the ships laundry are all safe options for getting rid of your wrinkles.

I don't suggest bringing your iron....like mentioned they are fire hazards. Why chance it? There are irons in the laundry rooms. I think Carnival has one one on each deck. I always send my clothes out the first day I arrive and have them pressed. They are hanging in my room the next morning and it isn't very expensive to have it done. I'm on vacation and don't want to spend it ironing!

NO irons means just that. It's not only a fire hazard, it's also the overloading of circuits.

The fact that you KNOW irons aren't allowed (or candles or heating pads) should be enough said. Why you would want to endanger yourself, as well as 2,000+ passengers, is beyond me.

All Carnival ships have a laundry room on every deck, and some of their ships have two laundry rooms on every deck. There are washers, dryers, ironing boards, and irons for passengers' convenience.

Just because some people 'get away with' having an iron in their cabin doesn't make it right or safe. Any cabin steward worth his salt will remove the iron from the cabin and return it to you prior to debarkation.

Think smart and think safe. Use Wrinkle Release on your clothing.

Please read your welcome aboard booklet and you will see that they are prohibited. I have purchased a travel steamer to use and found that they weren't too expensive. I am sure I will find uses for it at home. Also, it takes up less room than an iron.

Can you tell me where you found your steamer and what you had to pay of it? We have been trying to find an inexpensive one but without any luck so far.

i found mine at my local walgreens drug store for about $12. also check your dollar stores. they have them sometimes for about $5. mine is by proctor and gamble , is easy to use, packs small and works great.

it is like everything else you plug in and use in your cabin ''' WHEN DONE UNPLUG ""

i did not take mine the last trip. bundle packing and a little wrinkle releaser sprayed on the article worked fine. like they said above, i am on vacation and i am not going to be tied down with ironing things on the trip. have a great time
