Is Concierge Class Worth the extra $$

Have sailed on the Millennium class ships several times. Looking at the Infinity 11/25/2004 from Honolulu to Ensenada.

When I did an itinerary similar to this before (Honolulu to Vancouver), I had an aft balcony, which was great because if the weather was less than optimal, you were protected more.

On the Infinity, holding cabin 9201 aft Concierge Class. Are the amenities worth the extra $$ over a regular balcony?

HI C.A.

You would be crazy not to take that cabin. The CC is well worth the extra treatment and that cabin is very sought after. If the price is right...go for it.

I'ver sailed in 9201 on the Summit. Loved the huge balcony and the CC amenities are nice. I don't know the price spread but a large part of my decision would also include the balcony.

Well, I'm holding the cabin and will put down the deposit. The price difference is $500 per person. But, I do love that location.

I just got off the Infinity and stayed in concierge class cabin 9044. We were forward under the Thallassotherapy pool area. The best part was the mattress pad...extra comfortable. It was fairly quiet from above for us, but we flew home with some folks who were concierge class mid ship and they said the noise from pool deck chairs from above was rather bad, especially if one likes to nap in the afternoon. ...i would book the same forward cabin again, but watch out for the noise if you're mid ship under the pool. Aft under the buffet area....I'm not sure about.

You know I'm so confused about this. I booked our honeymoon on the Century months ago. We're sailing Oct 16. I booked a concierge class and it was only $700 pp including tax. I just read this post and thought gee....it's not THAT expensive!!...so I went to book it again to see if the price has risen and OMG it's now $3,800pp!!! How on earth did I get such a good price??

Bostonlass,
I'm not sure except that maybe it was because they don't change the names of the cabins until May1st of this year. The cabin you have on the Century if it is a CC, used to be called a Cat 3 and is on the Penthouse deck with no balcony. What cabin # do you have? just curious. One of the main reasons the CC on the Century are cheaper than on the M- class ships is because they don't have a balcony. On Century only the suites have balconies and come with a butler and all the other suite amenities, which are different than the Concierge class amenities. Just a thought =shrug

Edited: To say never mind, I read your post on Princess and I see you are no longer sailing on the Century. Maybe you will sail on the Century for your next cruise :wave Have a wonderful honeymoon :cheers

I have cabin 9160 on the Constellation in November. Any comments? This is my first cruise. April from Cruise One bent over backwards in helping me and my family get cabins.

Is it worth it?

gotta be a matter of opinion.

My opinion - YES!

We were CC last fall on a Med cruises and liked it so much we booked 2 more for this fall in CC class.

Last year we were mid-ship - no noise - this year will have an Aft cabin - can't wait.

Happy travels!

Our travel agent has booked 50 rooms for the Milennium cruise Jan16-23, 2005 to the Eastern Carribean and most rooms are concierge level. They obviously feel that this type of room is best for the segment of the market we are aiming for( it is a theme package of Newport, Rhode Island with private wine, food, exercise, concierge, history etc of Newport for those who book through the web site Newportstylecruising.com).
