DH Rick will become an Aussie citizen on 29th July! He took the test earlier this year, and today received a letter from the council notifying him of the citizenship ceremony.
Finally.........................................:lol
Then he can get an Aussie passport, and not need a re-entry visa when we cruise next.

Congratulations.. so at last he will be "legal" :lol You need to take a photo of the ceremony and share it with us.

I still remember mine, and how I felt the weight of what I was doing. But I figure that Rick has lived there so long now, that he already feels like a full fledged citizen.

That's fantastic! Kudos to you, Rick.

Not to diminish the native born citizen of any country; but, those who have chosen, and worked hard to attain their citizenship, demonstrate a commitment that many can't understand (or appreciate).

Oz, embrace your newest member as he has embraced you!
