St. Lucia is incredible. A truly un-spoilt paradise island! I spent only a day in St. Lucia (cruise ship), but I’m already planning a second visit where I can spend more time there. I had the pleasure of visiting the Volcano, waterfalls, the Pitons, I did some snorkeling. Fantastic! I did one of those water excursion tours with a guy named Peter the Great, very friendly gentleman. I highly recommend his tour.

My husband & I are cruising in May. One of the ports of call is St. Lucia. I was looking into the volcano, waterfalls & pitons tour also. I read tonight that it is an hour drive just to get there and the roads are awful! Can you give me some info? Also, is it pretty easy walking? Flat area? (my husband is in a wheelchair)

Where did you book your excursion?

Thanks so much!!!

Welcome top the boards. You might have some difficulty with the little
"buses" they use for many of the excursions. I can't envision how a
wheel chair bound person could be gotten on and off them without considerable help, and the isles are so narrow that even storing the chair might be difficult. If it is affordable, you might consider hiring a taxi for a custom tour on your own. You will find St Lucia to
be a beautiful island, though. Enjoy your cruise.

I just returned from St Lucia....... as a port of call on the Destiny... I agree....this island is truly unique in beauty... The houses are not on top of each other......and most are quite beautiful........ education is highly regarded here as everywhere you will see schools.... This island had a pacific feel to it....rather than carribean. I loved it!
