Is this the $55 trip which includes a visit to the beach?  If so, we did this and it was quite fun and very convenient.  There are probably better reefs to snorkel at than the one we went to.  We visited one reef for snorkeling, then took a boat ride for about 20 minutes to the beach.  Drinks (soft drinks, margaritas, and Cervesa beer) were served onboard after snorkeling and at the beach at no additional charge; food was available at the beach for another $8. There were around 60 people on the boat and a lot of drinking (party atmosphere).

We stayed at the beach for almost 2 hours.  There were kayaks available, covered tables, foam mats for on the beach or in the water, and volleyball.  Horseback riding was available at an additional charge.  The beach area was shared with people on another boat. The crew served shots of tequila with 7-up to volunteers on the trip back from the beach

There was a person taking pictures during the trip and selling them at the end; I don’t remember the asking price but it seemed high.  I was going to offer $6 for a picture because I only brought $6 with me but it began to rain heavily and I didn’t hang around to make an offer.

If we cruise to Cozumel again, we will probably take a cab to Dzul Ha or some other beach and snorkel on our own for less money.  I’ve heard the reef is better and we can snorkel more.
