JacquieP's and Leon's beloved Sunny crossed Rainbow Bridge today

I'm heartbroken to tell you that Jacquie's and Leon's elderly little Poodle, Sunny, crossed Rainbow Bridge today. Her quality of life was gone - blind, deaf, few teeth. It was her time.

They have Bandit and Cocoa and, of course, Joey (by whatever name he choses each day). But they're heartbroken and so am I. Pucci lost one of his little weekend Open House pals. But Sunny is now out of pain and enjoying perpetual Open House with all her predecessors.

Hugs, Jacquie and Leon. Tears are still streaming down my cheeks and Pucci is getting extra hugs.

It is so very difficult to share our lives with a loved one who has such a shorter life span. Dave Letterman said it right, when he said that the day you are born, they should give you a dog that dies the day you do. As much as we know the day will come that they will pass, we still take them into our lives, and are so much richer for it.

Bless little Sunny for the joy she gave Jacquie and Leon.

Many thanks everyone! Today is better, of course. I knew Sunny was not doing well, and when she started getting lost and not eating I knew it was time. She was my last tie with my dad, but I'm sure my dad and mom met her at the Rainbow Bridge, as she was the last of their many dogs. I'm sure she is pain free, no longer blind, and running like the wind with lots of other @ddict's furbabies - even cats!
