As you can see from my signature we almost always cruise in January. Rates are relatively low and there will be very few children. In fact, I wish there were more children because they bring energy and life to whatever is going on. But, it's definitely nice not to be overrun by kids. There are also are not usually many college kids, so we don't have the spring break scene going on in January. The weather is a few degrees cooler in the Caribbean and can actually be cool at times in the Bahamas and southern Floriday, but overall we've had excellent weather. It is also less humid in the winter than in the summer. We intend to continue cruising in January until we retire and start cruising more exotic ports like Alaska, the Mediterranean, and northern Europe, all of which would be best in the warm weather.
