Jogging On Promenade Deck (Grand)?

I'm traveling on the Grand with a friend who jogs (6/08). I don't jog, but I remember a passenger on the Dawn Princess last summer saying that he would get up early and jog on the promenade deck - as opposed to the jogging track - he said it was less monotonous as it's only a few laps to a mile (as opposed to the 20 or so I would guess on the tiny jogging track). Anyone know if this is possible? Is there a 'group run' at a specific time for example?

Hi StepG!
I was on the Grand last October, my sister and I used the Promenade deck for our early morning power walks. There were a few joggers, too. I enjoyed using the Promenade deck rather than the jogging track as you have to go around fewer times to make a mile, there are some stairs that you have to go up and down, I think they were near the front of the ship.

Princess didn't offer a group run, but they did have a morning Walk a Mile group walk scheduled through the fitness center. I think the walk started at 7 or 8 AM, can't remember the exact time.

Have a great time on the Grand, I sure did!

I was on the Star and they try to discourage jogging on the promenade deck since it makes too much noise for the cabins. We saw nobody jogging on this deck. Plus, there are stairs at the front.
