We're cruising on the Coral Princess on 01/02/04 and trying to decide on the Jungle Train or the Costa Flores Tropical Gardens for a tour in Limon. Does anyone know anything about them? Really want to know if they're worth the money or should we just stay on the ship?

Hi Sunflower, we just did the 10 day Panama Canal sailing on the Island Princess. We did the Jungle Train Excursion and we rather enjoyed it. But I guess its really up to you based on what you think you would like. It was an interesting and informative ride. The tour guide we had was very likeable and intelligent. Personally, I don't think it would be a waste of time.

Thanks for your response. We will probably take the Jungle Train. My first choice would probably be the Aerial Tram but it's $129. pp. That's more than we want to spend since we'll probably do the Coast to Coast at the Panama Canal. Are there any other good tours that you took at other ports?

Yes, we did the Pedro St. James and Nautilus Semi-Sub on Grand Cayman and loved it too. We still had plenty of time for shopping. We did the ocean to ocean transit back in 1997 on the Dawn Princess. There were a few things we missed the first time around that we wanted give a little more attention to. But at the same time we didn't want to repeat the full transit.
