We just took the Western Caribbean Cruise on the Century 8/14-8/21 and it was wonderful! I thought I would be one of the younger crowd (I"m 28) but no way. maybe because of the summer month but there were a variety of ages from infant to very old.
Food: If you like gourmet, you'll love this cruise. The food was like eating at a gourmet restaurant each night. Some examples: Rack of Lamb, prime rib, lobster tails, veal cordon bleu, pastas, and much more. You were able to choose an appetizer, soup, salad, main entree, and dessert. I am a very picky eater, yet i was able to find at least something to eat. If I didn't, they brought me pasta. The Islands Cafe has an everyday breakfast and lunch buffet. Tons to eat. They even had themed lunches like CHinese and Mexican. If you find you didn't like any of that, you cold go to t he Veranda Grill by the pool where there was always pizza and pasta. Also on the other side was a set up of all kinds of sandwhiches. I liked the chicken salad. ALways soft serve ice cream each day. Room service too!
Entertainment: Comedians, singers, dancers, bingo, newlywed game, match game. It was fun. They had napkin folding, silk flower arranging, ( didn't go to those though). Plenty of pool sports during the day. Name that tune, ice carving in the pool are.
All in all we enjoyed our cruise. Wish we could've stayed in Key west for longer. We were only there til 4pm. Too short! All that fun happens at night! The ship is beautiful. They keep it very clean. It does need a bit of updating as any 8 yr. old ship would need, but it was gorgeous. We would definitely sail her again. Email me w/any questions. I could write so much more here but I won't!

Thanks for your review my husband and I and 3 other couples cuise Century in Oct. I was wondering if you did any shore excursions and who you booked them with? Did you book them before you left? Did you try the aqua spa? How much did it cost? We hear there is a restaurant that you pay a cover charge and can eat a ton of gourmet food did you try this? Thanks again, you can write as much as you want because I am justing soaking up everything I can about Century.

Thanks Chelsi

WE were on the Century in May. Eastern Carribean, loved the ship ,'food , entertainment ,service evreything was great. We liked the island cafe for breakfast and lunch, at lunch there were 4 different types of cusine to choose from, plus pizza, hot bogs ,hamburgers and so on, what's not to like? The main dinninig room is excellent for dinner. The entertainment was great , there was a band or karioke going most of the time after 9p.m.This was our 23rd. cruise and we were more than happy , and I might say that we are sometimes a little hard to please, but if your cruise is half as good as ours it will be GREAT!!!!!!!!

We cruised on the Century back in August. The Century doesn't have a specialty restuarant with a cover charge - but there is plenty of choices to eat.

The grand restaurant is the best! We were at a table for 8, and none of us were ever disappointed.

The crew is the greatest! Whenever you pass any of them on the ship, they will always smile and ask how your day is going - and seem to actually wait and listen to your answer.

The shows were excellent - we would listen to the band at the pool every afternoon! (Yes, there were the usual chair hogs at the pool, but we could always find chairs on the upper deck).

Make sure you go to the grill by the pool at least once for breakfast - they serve waffles that they make right in front of you - and there are a number of toppings for them, including chocolate and whipped cream, which I noticed a lot of people requesting! (They also had different kinds of fruit, as well as the usual maple syrup) - my stomach is growling just thinking about it. I only realized they had them on the 2nd last day - other days had breakfast at the buffet or brought to our cabin to eat on the balcony.

There is plenty to see and do onboard the ship - we were never bored, (and my husband has to keep busy)! I'm sure you will have a wonderful time, we enjoyed it so much, we're sailing on the Summit in January.

Have a great trip,

Kim.
