Well,
I took someone's advice on this board and emailed Godfrey down in St. Thomas. He emailed me back and sounded very nice! I forwarded his email to the boss (my wife), and she said it sounded great! He asked what time we'll be off of the ship and said that he'd have our name on a placard, waiting for us.

thanks guys!!!!

Does anyone know if Godfrey's is for groups only or does he get many himself and puts it together as one tour ? It sounds great!

Thanks,
Lisa

I made arrangements with him also, and it's only three of us. Sounded like he really wants to make our visit a pleasurable one. He will be waiting for us as soon as we get off the ship.

Does anyone know do all three beaches have lockers? It dawned on me comparing Godfrey to the ship's tour that his you go shopping first (which I would prefer) but what to do with packages at the beach ?

Lisa

I recently returned from our Pride cruise to the Eastern Caribbean. All I can say about Godfrey is that he was GRRRRREAT!!!! Here's a link to my Cruise-addict review of the trip. You'll probably find everything you want to know about Godfrey in it. He offered to lock our bags in the cab of his "tour truck" (which was brand new).

P.S. Best tour I've ever had on a cruise (and for only $20 per person!)

Thanks Dean !
We just booked Godfrey too and mentioned you!
I really appreciate all your informative emails :)
Now one less detail to deal with....If I could only figure out Puerto Rico. I don't think I will only because we really wanted to do the bioluminsence tour but can't because of the weight restriction. We have both been kayaking before without a problem but do not want to take a chance of getting stuck waiting in the bus...LOL
Take Care,
Lisa

THANKS Dean for the info on Godfrey. My family is traveling on the Glory next month and I had seen the posts about Godfrey earlier and was hoping to find someone that had done it. I think that you made my decision with such a glowing recommendation. One question.....Do you think that this would be too long for my kids ages 7 and 9?????

Hi Lori,
In answer to your question... no. That's what is so great about Godfrey.... he'll tailor "your" tour to you! The actual "Tour" of the island (and I mean all over it) is from 1200-1400 (noon to 2 pm). He'll pick you up from the ship at 9, 10, or 11. The morning hours are used for shopping downtown. You decide how many hours you want to shop. He'll drop you off and pick you up at about 1145-noon in front of the tourist bureau. From 2-4pm is the "beach" time.... very relaxing and will probably be the "highlight" for the kids. We had an older couple on our tour bus that didn't want "beach time", so Godfrey took them back to the ship after he dropped us at the beach. Just Tell Godfrey want you want to do.... he'll accommodate!!! Your kids will have a great time. Godrey's new tour "bus" is open aired, covered, with comfy padded seats!!! And, of course, you can't beat the price!!!

Dean
