We are on a 9 night. I could not justify taking the kids out of school any longer.
As for ports- Labadee, Casa de campo - Is it worth getting off the ship? I have heard different rumors about it being unsafe and having sanitation problems. We were just planning to stay on the ship and use the pool.
St. Thomas, and San Juan. Plus 4 days at sea to enjoy the ship
We just sailed 1/19/08 on Carnival Triumph. I was not ready to get off the ship after 7 days.
We asked the kids where they wanted to go on vacation next year. They both said another cruise. This will be their 4th.
I had originally looked at the Explore of this year. But, we were traveling with another family and they did not want to take the extra time off.
My husband was looking at HAL. But, our son started to cry because he wanted all the amenities Explorer. I wanted more than 7 days. It's perfect. Plus, we can drive there.

We also are booked on Explorer for March 28 out of Bayonne NJ. This will be our third cruise on Explorer. Last year we were given the food, service and crew friendliness that rivaled a cruise on Celebrity!. We love the ship[p. Lots to do. The only problem we found was slow disembarkation and confusion rounding up our luggage after leaving the ship. No porters available so we had to lug 5 bags to the Airport bus. We hope for better organization this time. Enjoy your cruise!
