Just booked honeymoon on Millennium!

My new hubby and I just booked a January cruise on Millennium in a Concierge class stateroom for 5 days. Very excited! We are mid-thirties and wanted to go on a line with good food and good service with maybe not "as many" families as something like Carnival. I have cruised on Carnival before and it was "nice" but clearly more on the economy side of things. This time, we were looking for something nicer. We are also planning a day or two before and after in Miami.

Anyone have advice, suggestions or otherwise for us as fairly new to cruising and brand new to Celebrity? I'm a big planner so the more details the better! ;-) Thanks in advance and for all the existing advice that helped me to get this far!

Well if you guys picked each other as well as you picked your cruiseline you will be OK in the future :) Make sure you inform your room guy/girl of your "Real" needs up front ..Privacy ..... lots of ice etc. and then play everything by ear. Wish I had of gone on a cruise for my honeymoon . Enjoy..

Any specific questions about the ship ?

1)Specialty restaurants on X are spectacular--make sure to treat yourselves at least once! :doubleup:

2)Bridge tours are theoretically reserved for elite passengers or those in fancy accommodations,
but if you ask nicely at the purser's office or concierge desk you might get on the list--it's
interesting if you've neverbeen on a cruise before

Miami--counterintuitive thought it is--has not one but two spectacular new concert hall complexes--check on the web and if there is a symphony or ballet performance at the New World Center or the Arlene Arsht Center it's well worth taking advantage of (Took some Belgian friends to the ballet at the Arsht Center after we got off a TA and they were as delighted as they were astonished)

Congratulations - I love the Millie. My husband and I have been on it multiple times now and it's the perfect sized ship for us. (We are celebrating 30 years of marriage in May.) Service is incredible - just speak up and let them know what you need.
