I was thinking of doing the same thing, but being its winter the first 2 days and the last 2 days will probably be cold weather. I have been on 25 cruises and I am taking the dawn next sunday with my daughter and 3 grandhildren. In Febuary is when my husband and I cruise to get away from the bad weather. I do not know where you are from but we are from NY. Last year we flew to hawaii and did a 10 day cruise. This coming feb. we are going out of san juan on 2 cruises. first carnival and then rccl. All the new ships are pretty much the same. You really won't go wrong with almost any cruise line. I usually do not take a balcony because we feel we only sleep in the room. This time we will have 2 adjoinging rooms with balconies as we are 5 people and they do not have a large enough room. Some ships do. We have been on carnival with 5 in a room and last year another ncl that held 5 people. Just thing about the weather. Last year or I should say this past feb. we came home after ny had 2 feet of snow.
