Just talked to Maw - 3-4-11

Just got off the phone from talking to Maw. She sounded like she was in good sprits today.

She said that she wanted to be put in the same nursing home as
John NJ as she thought that they would have a lot of fun

DAW is due in town any time now and she is anxiously awaiting her visit so that she can get some everyday clothes to wear. She said that she had a nice roommate but she really hadn't had a chance to visit with her much yet. She also said that she thought that the swelling was starting to go down as she could feel her foot moving around.
Hopefully that is true and maybe she will be able to have the surgery sooner.

MAW and John NJ in the same facility? Please say it ain't so. Don't think we have enough in the petty cash fund to cover the bail!

I am glad that maw is happy with her surroundings. That will make her stay there all the easier. And now if she can get hooked up to the 'net' it will be so much better for her.

Thanks JK for the update with Maw. Glad Maw is sounding like herself . :sunny: That would be a good idea of Maw and JohnNJ in the same rehab place, they could have wheelchair races in the hallways.

Glad she is feeling better. Hope she can get the surgery done sooner but in these little towns where the dr only comes around once a wk it makes it tough to get things done in a timely fashion.

Thanks Janice for the update. I am happy to hear that Maw is happier with the new digs and that the swelling seems to be going down. I hope for surgery as soon as possible.

As for Maw & John together - I would worry about the poor staff!

Glad that Daw will be there soon to visit with Maw - the days can be so long when you are inpatient.

Jk, thanks for the update, Maw always has a postive cheerful attitude. That is why we all love her. I bet she is planing that next cruise in her head.

I'm so pleased to hear that Maw is in good spirits, that is half the battle in recovery. Hopefully the swelling will go down enough to have the surgery sooner rather than later.

I hope that John NJ is progessing well. He too is always in my thoughts and prayers.
