We are sailing on the Zuiderdam in May. Since we have been to Key West before, my husband made a suggestion that we take a seaplane and go to Dry Tortugas for some great snorkeling. Has anyone been there? If so would love to hear from you about your experiences. Also anyone who has done a snorkeling trip out of Key West would like info on what company you made your arrangements through.

Hello,
I just went to Key West in September. I visited the Dry Tortugas and it was the absolute best thing I did while I was there. We did not go by sea plane..instead we went by catamaran. We took the fast cat..It was a 2 hr ride each way and absolutely beautiful.
It was a really great time! The beach was gorgeous and the snorkeling was the best!
I highly reccommend taking a trip out to the Dry Tortugas.

It was the best thing we did while in Key West.

Sunryz710,

I am delighted to hear that you enjoyed the trip to Dry Tortugas. Please tell me the name of the operator you took. I imagine it was an independant excursion, and not
one offered by the ship? How much time for snorkeling, beach combing etc. Did they provide a lunch, drinks etc. Do you recall the cost?

Take a look at www.drytortugasinfo.com

We booked with Sunny Days...
They provide breakfast and lunch.

It was really great. They were really good with answering questions too if you call..
Just make sure you will get beack in time for your ship...

Really great trip..
