I have booked our first cruise on Caribbean Princess for June 19 with my wife and 3 kids ages 6, 8, 11. Will the kids enjoy it? Will my wife and I be able to enjoy the adult stuff?

My last cruise, I took my 8 and 10 year old boys. They had a BLAST! Yes, your kids will love it. With the kids programs, you and your wife will get some time alone even though you are taking a family vacation. I never used the late night baby sitting services, and I cant recall what time the regular kids programs ended (maybe 10ish?) but that is available I think if you want to do late night adult things. You all will have a fantastic time.

By the way.... =welcome aboard!! We're glad you have joined us.

My son sailed with them at 7 and at 9. Loved the programs. When he was 9 he was good buddies with an 11 year old on board and they did spend more time at the pool and going to meals together occasionally. The programs do end at 10 and Jer would race from meals to get back on time.

Some of the events were movies, olympicstyle games, bingo, disco dance night, pajama party, ice cream sundae making, crafts like bracelets, and at least one night, the children dined together.

My daughter loved the kid's club on Princess---as a matter of fact, it was hard getting her away from it! Fortunately, when we were in port she had to go with us, as it was closed in port (don't know if that is still the policy). We found the counselors to be great, and there were age-appropriate activities. For awhile she kept in touch with kids she met (pen pals). She is now 15 and has graduated to the "teen club", which she enjoyed last year for the teen night life.

Your kids may be put in separate groups because of their ages. If this is an issue, you may want to check in advance.

Hope this helps!
