Kiefer had a quiet night Wednesday

We ended up going for a walk yesterday after all, but a short 10 minute jaunt in the park instead of our usual 20 minute. His spirit wanted 30 minutes, but I figured his body would appreciate the shorter walk. Cleaning his leg around his Penrose drains is murder, hurts me and him. sigh... He got pulled chicken mixed in with his food, and then a Rimadyl, so he was a happy puppy last night.

But when we go outside he still stares at Mikey's house and cries, and that just wrenches my heart.

Glad you had a good night. I've always found it so difficult dealing with a sick pet; they don't understand what is happening to them & they look at you with those sad eyes expecting you to fix it. Hope he continues with a smooth recovery.

Glad to hear good news. I know I worry about my four all the time. I'm so sorry he lost a playmate as they don't understand. Continued good wishes for an uncomplicated recovery.

I'm happy Kiefer had a good night last night. I hope he continues to heal without any problems. Scritches... woofs from Pucci.

Glo - I'm just reading this today (Thursday) so I'm a bit behind on the news but I'm glad to hear that Kiefer is on the mend. What a scary and awful thing to have happened. It's one of those things you may never quite understand.

Oh my goodness Glo, sorry to hear about Kiefer. I missed the post on my day off.

Glad he is doing better. Sorry about his "best friend" too. Wonder what got in to him to do that. :(

Glad to hear he's on the mend! I wish our furbabies could understand when we explain things, and I know mine really try to talk so I'm sure Kiefer does the same. Please give him a few extra scritches from us, and Bandit, Cocoa, and Sunny send tail wags.

When I came home from work today, he was running up and down the stairs on all four legs. My heart smiled! Gordon also said he took him in the back yard for a little bit, but he soon came back in the house when he realized Gordon wasn't about to start throwing the ball!
