Has anyone done this? Was wondering if it is worth the trip or if we should just go to some great bars/restaurants by ourselves.
Any advice would be fabulous!!!

Our cruise buddies did this excursion. You start off at the hosts house. He is a professional chef. The house has a patio that is set up restaurant style. Dinner is 90 minutes of the excursion. The party bus then takes you to the four, or was it 5 bars. One free drink per stop is included, they spent about 30 minutes at each stop. The final destination is carlos and charlies.

While they had a good time and the meal was good, they commented on a too long dinner break. Dinner took at most 40 minutes and after a brief house tour they felt they were wasting time and that the price tag was a bit steep.

The one benefit is that when they arrived at carlos and charlies, they could bypass the eternal 45 minute line that had formed by 630pm. We couldn't get into meet them there.... wouldn't wait in the line.

Now the majority of bars are in easy walking distance to the pier, all the shopping is there too. The noname bar had a deal, from 6-8p, it was $30 for appetizers and all you can drink. This was a much better deal in my opinion. There is mamba jamba's, Iguanna Joe's and a few other restaurand/bars, all in a three block radius.

To each their own. Our buddies still had a good time and did enjoy it... depends on what you're looking for. I just don't like to be herded on a bus If I'm having a good time and not ready to move on. You'll LOVE aruba no matter what you decide.

Went on this tour this week (Brilliance). Had a good time watching everyone drinking a "little" too much, but having a good time. The bars they take you to before C & Cs are little, dirty local bars. If you like rap music, drinking and dancing on bar tops, you will have a great time. We enjoyed ourself even though we are part of the over-the-hill group.
