Last minute upgrades

Hi all,
we're just curious about upgrades. We're going on the Pride in 3 weeks and have been issued our tickets with a category 4b cabin although we only paid for a category 1a. What we'd like to know is if upgrades occur between when yr ticket is issued and when you actually board the ship.

Also, does anyone know what upgrade availability is like on the day of boarding and the sorts of costs involved for instance to go to a balcony cabin.

Thanks for any info you can shed on this.

Can't hurt to ask if their is anything available at check in. I've heard that people can get some great upgrades at check in.
