We were on the Navigator 8/30 through 9/6, Nassau, St. Thomas, San Juan and Labadee our weather was perfect. Not even a shower of rain. Did not miss any ports, did hear that the Holland America Zatterdam (not sure on the spelling) missed St. Maarten. Captain on our ship told us that we missed Fabian by 150 miles, which took all the bad weather with it. Did have rough seas for 2 nights, however they were in St. Thomas and San Juan, which are close ports so not a lot of travel time. People were sick, but noticed that the ones that wore the patch were fine. Our last day at sea the ocean was like glass. Even the crew were in awe of how calm and beautiful it was. We were so thankful - we could've had the worst weather and ended up with some of the best!

We were on the same ship with you mel47! Great cruise wasn't it? A little bumpy leaving San Juan but fine just the same. I was amazed how everything worked out so well. I will sail during hurricane season again without a second thought!

Jrsygrl,

We are torn now because of the great cruise we had! For our next cruise do we book during peak season with a better chance for good weather (still could be bad though) or do we take our chances again during hurricane season? We loved how empty the ports of call were and that there weren't many kids onboard.
