Le Meridien in Barcelona

I read the previous posts about lodging suggestions in Barcelona but noticed no one posted about Le Meridien. I booked directly through their website ( not RCCL's pre-cruise package) and was able to get a room for 154.00 per night. Not per person. Has anyone stayed there? It looks very nice. Is it as close to everything as it appears??

I also saw their website and thought it was really nice looking. If you book on line through say . . . Orbitz, is that price for 2 people? And when the ship quotes you its per person? I'm not quite clear on the concept. The atrium is also nice.

Funny, when I went to book online through the ship it was PER PERSON. When I booked directly through Le Meridiens web site it stated clearly PER ROOM. Huge difference. When you look @ Orbitz or Expedia, make sure you are reading it and then print to take with you. Apparently in Europe most rooms are per person not per room.

great idea to take the ad. . even though I am not going until next year, I'm learning from each of you. Would love an update when you get back on how you liked it. Are you going on the Brilliance of the sea?

I have stayed there, it has been 7 yrs., but it was adequate, the rooms small but clean and people very friendly. However, there isn't a hotel with a better location. It is right in the center of everything. Everything is walkable. Are you taking any personlized tours? I am going on the Brilliance in Sept. to do the Med. cruise. Trying to find tours other than the ship has to offer. What ship you going on?? I was on the Splendor for Northern Eurpope, Great cruise

oh, forgot to tell, it's always best to book right through the hotel, either on the web or directly. The cruise lines rip you off with thier prices.

I am going to be on the Brilliance NEXT YEAR but I am doing my homework this year. I have never been on a cruise, so you can see I'm excited! Anxious to hear what day trips you take and how you liked them.

We are traveling on the Brilliance of The Seas leaving August 30th. I am still trying to decide which excursions we will take. I am waiting for the ships review from a lady who posted here last month and is currently on the ship on the same itinerary. We should see her post soon and get all the great info about the excursions in the Med. Thanks everyone.

I stayed there, and it was the best place. Great location and definitely better to do right through them. Much cheaper than through the cruise line. It is where everything you want to see. Just walk out your door and you are there. Enjoy!!

I just went to the le meridian website. Hotel looks great, but the least expensive room was 240 euros per night not 154 dollars as stated above.

I looked @ my papers again and it is 154.00 per room per night. I did book it over 2 mos. ago, maybe the rates go up as summer approaches or as the hotel books up??? Not sure, but now I feel like I really got a good deal :)
