Hello everyone.

I have not been to this forum in quite sometime, but I have decided to take my 1st solo cruise without the husband, friends, or family! Just me, myself and I. I am calling it the MACS cruise! "Married And Cruising Solo".

My idea is to go April 30th 2010 on the Majesty. I cruised with her in April 2007 with my Mom, and we had a great time, and I absolutely loved Cococay Island.

I am so looking forward to relaxing, reading, sleeping, and just kicking back with my own agenda.

My husband and I travel about 2 times per year together. He took his 1st solo vacation last year and he said he enjoyed himself, did what he wanted at his leisure.

Thats when I got the idea to try a weekend cruise solo. He will never take a cruise (not his idea of a vacation).

My husband would never let me get away with. He loves cruising as much as I do. Besides we have to much fun together, it just would not be the same going without him

I cruised once without Paw and ended up in hospital--grils are still hearing abt that. He has however told me to go ahead on at least one of cruises I have booked. I think he will change his mind but if he don't have alternate com0anions in kids lined up.

there is a 1st time for everything, and although my husband and I have been on many many vacations together in the past 15 years, this trip is all about my love of cruising. He does not have any desire to cruise, and I refuse to depend on others to cruise again.

I have seen couples not enjoy things they like to do because the other spouse has no interest in it, thats not us at all. Many of our vacations are planned around what each of us like to do. Even when we are on vacation together, we will separate during the day, I may go shopping and he will go sightseeing.

Irionically he will be on his 2nd solo trip around the same time that I will be on my cruise. He will be horseback riding in Georgia and I will be at sea. He loves horses, and I love to cruise. We will have plenty to talk about when we return, and it is also a way for us to own our independence from each other. It will be fun to send each other pictures on our cell phones while we are away on separate trips. Two months after our solo trips, we will be vacationing together in the Bahamas.

We do a lot of things together, but we also do many things apart, because some of our interest are different.

If I only experience this solo trip once, I am looking forward to it.
