We booked a guarantee 5a. Naturally, we hoped for an upgrade. Oh well. My question is. . .it looks like our cabin is right between two lifeboats. Will that make a difference? Can you leave the french doors open to get air? We have been in every type of cabin except an obstructed view and a suite. We got a good deal so I really can't complain. I just want to know what to expect. Thanks

I just returned from the Legend. I had an obstucted view cabin between 2 life boats, had a good view. If you get one that is centered on a life boat you would have no view at all.Yes the frech doors open in, so you can have them open if you wish to.I will also throgh in here that the service was excellent and the ship was nearly spotless. We had a very nice cruise. Just make sure that you look at the layout of the ship and get a room between the lifeboats. Again it was one of the best cruises we have been on, and this was #28. Viet

Yes the french doors open. Everyone I talked to said that thier's opened as well. They all open in.If you go for one of these cabin's be sure to get one with a view.If you look at the brochure you can pick out the ones that are between the life boats.I was satisfied with the cabin that we had.the only problem we had was something loose in the wall near the french door that rattled quite badly when the ship hit any sort of rough sea's. It was a loud knock at time's like a hammer pounding, and other time's like someone knocking on the door.I am a light sleeper so maybe others would not notice it, but I found it very annoying at time's.Look at4149,4141,'4133',4123,4115 and do the same thing on the other side of the ship. You will have a good view. Much better that just a port hole window. Hope this help's. Viet
