Legend passenger ages ?

Being that the Legend sail's an 8 Day Itinerary does it tend to cater to older passenger's? Just curious but I would think that it would be more difficult for families to take this cruise because of school. The last cruise we took was on the Century and the teen's were running wild at night, up and down the hall's at all time's yelling and screaming. We really don't want that again. I geuss people get on the ship and turn thier kid's loose, and pick them up at the end of the cruise.Viet

Depends on the time of year you are going. Spring break -summer vacations and school holidays will see kids onboard your ship.

While Serene is correct, there is another factor. An eight day cruise leaving on Saturday returns on Sunday. Thus the cruisers miss only five working days. Something else to consider is that some schools are year round and others have broken the school year up in a new way. The school starts early (August) and has a fall break in October. Something I learned on my eight day cruise (leaving on Saturday) on the NCL Star about one month ago.

Our cruise leaves on Friday. I was hoping that would eliminate some of the kid's.I have nothing against kid's that are well behaved, but so often anymore the parent't just turn them loose. Maybe ship's security should get more involved. Like security///baby siter?JMHO. Viet

Pfft- security dont want to get involved because the cruise lines do not want to lose the family unit as cruisers.
I mean they all paid good money to take that vacation and who cares whose vacation those kids ruin.

That sure seem's to be the attitude of most cruise line's.The worst offender's seem to be the teen's that are old enough to know better. But then again if you look at the parent's it usually say's it all. Viet

Hopefully I can help....

We just returned from the 8 day Legend..... leaving on Friday and Returning Saturday.

There were only 150 kids under 18 on board.... very low for a full cruise. We hardly saw any kids all week, and there was only one groups of teens that were a little crazy during the talent show. The passengers were quite a bit older than what we were used to on our 4 other Carnival Cruises. The shows content was for an older crowd too... Jazz and Show Tunes.. as opposed to Pop Orientated shows.
We are in our late 30's and felt like youngsters!
We had a terrific time though.... there were hardly any lines all week and the kids that were there got tons of attention and had a great time too.

I hope it is this way when we sail. I am getting very sick of the kid's raising -ell up and down the hall's every night. There seem's to be no respect for any other passenger's.JMHO. Viet

My Wife myself and our 14 yr. old son were on the Legend Easter week of 2005 on the 8 day Southern Itnerary. My son had the time of his life. On that cruise there had to be 1000 kids of all ages. We found it to be very rewarding to see all of these young people enjoying themselves. We never once felt that any ot them was out of line or rude. Perhaps if children are a problem, one of the more formal cruise lines would better serve your needs.

Children who are well behaved are not a problem. The Century is part of the Celebrity line which is an upscale line. That does not say the children are well behaved.I believe that children and other people as well should respect other people's right's.Do unto others's as you would like to be done unto is a good philosophy in my book. If you don't respect others I geuss you can't expect your children to! Viet
