Looked at Carnival website for shore excursions for Belize, Limon and Colon. Nothing is listed for Limon. Anyone know what excursions are offered here? Also wondering if I could get some prices of the excursions at all 3 ports. No price list on Carnival website.
Thanks

Hi,
We went on the Spirit in Feb this year and had the same ports of call. In Limon we took the Green Train Tour of the country, banana plantations, stopped at a resort for shopping and bus ride back to port. There was also a tram ride offered and I think white water rafting but I don't exactly recall. There is a small shopping area right near the pier. It is a very poor country with beautiful ecology. The people are very friendly and wave at all the Touristas-- they know that the money the visitors spend will support their economy. We LOVED Belize a lot and did the Altun Ha River Wallace tour and really enjoyed it. We also took the canal tour in Panama, the $155 per person tour thru 2 sets of locks. It was well worth it! The canal is amazing! You will find that this Itinerary is not about shopping like other parts of the Caribbean, it is more about spending money to go on beautiful sight-seeing - history and culture lesson tours-- a great learning experience!
Enjoy Your Trip! :) :) :) :) :)

Lainie addressed this itinerary perfectly. Contact Carnival with your date of sailing and they will fax or email you the present tour schedule which will include present prices. Both Belize & Limon, both have good private tour operators at the port terminal. I do not recommend going it alone at Colon. We did the Cave Tubing tour with Reggie Trapp at Belize for $65 whereas the ship's tour was $85 but did include lunch. At Limon, once you get off of the ship there is a Red canopy set up with a sign detailing many private tours and their prices; thus no haggling. We took the #1 rated tour from Limon to the Tortuguera Canal and Banana Plantation @ $45 pp. Our guide not only took us to the canal (boat tour was included) but stopped at a beach Playa Bonita (?), the Del Monte Banana Planation for a walking tour and a photo opportunity stop to see 3 toed Sloths and monkies as well as a close up on native flora & fauna. Our guide also accommodated me with a Supermarket stop so I could purchase Coffee & Vanilla both great souvenirs and good buys (about 8 lbs. coffee, 2 bottles of Vanilla & a Qt. of mixed tropical fresh fruit juice = $11 US). Our Colon ship's tour was the Ocean to Ocean train trip @ $139 each. This was a great way to spend the day with a stop at Miraflores Lock including narrative guide explaining everything that was happening as well as the construction and area then & now, a bus ride and tour to Balboa Yacht club, and tthen onto the Panama City coast line, etc. Our tours were not ony varied, but covered the ports of call and countries thoroughly while relaxing and fun.
Bon Voyage
