I thought I read that if you have staterooms next to one another and you want to share your balcony that there is a way to unlock the panel that separates the two. Is this true and how do I do this. We are sailing the Legend on April 3, 2003 and have rooms together at the back of the ship with extended balcony's and want to be able to go back and forth without going through the hall.

There is a way however you may need a heavy tool. Log on to cruisecritic.com, the Carnival forum and do a search or ask this question. I believe it has been answered a long time ago on that site. Let me know how it is done, too.
Thanks.

We & friends had adjacent cabins on the Victory last year, we just called and asked for the panel to be removed, they sent up a maintenance person...and presto!! Does make it nicer, no leaning over the rail to chat!! We'll be on the Legend in May...can't wait! Enjoy!!

When we were on the Pride this past summer, the cabin attendant would not open the panel....however, if you slip your sign and sail card (or a knife from the cafe) up the side of the panel where the lock is, it will open the lock and then you can open the panel. The down side is you will not be able to relock it -- you need a tool for that.

Wow, sounds like a great way for someone to break into your cabin.

Thanks Sue I knew there was a way to do it!

I like the idea of combining our balconies to make it feel really spacious.
