Lido Deck Balcony Rooms on Caribbean Princess

Hello everyone!!! I was just wondering if anyone has any feedback on the balcony rooms on the Lido Deck of the Caribbean Princess. We have 2 rooms for a 9 day Caribbean cruise out of NY in June. Just really began cruising this year and not sure what to expect. We have Staterooms L235 and L239. Any responses or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

There will be a fair amount of foot traffic coming on and off the lifts but you are far enough forward that it probably won't be distracting. I like the location of your cabins.

The lifts? When did you move to England? On this side of the pond they are call elevators. :biggrin:

Princess deck plans refer to them as lifts. Coincidentally, I had to explain the meaning of that word to novice cruisers not very long ago...

We were on the Lido Deck two years ago thinking it would be worth the extra price, but were not impressed. Our cabin 222 was far enough forward, but for those who have theirs closer to the doors onto the deck, well that's another story. It was a virtual wind tunnel in the hallway. Another thing we noticed was there was slightly more rocking motion than our past cruise. We we thinking it be because of being higher on the ship. Next time we would definitely go back to Dolphin Deck mid ship where we found it to be much better.

Lifts? That's funny. I was thinking the very same thing, but too polite to say anything. Not bloody likely!! So now back to my hoovering.
