I have cruised Princess and Carnival. I prefer Princess but I am sailing on Carnival again in a few weeks. I was very surprised and pleased with how good a job Carnival did, that is one reason I am going back on them. Yes the feel and look of Carnival is different from Princess but the ships are very beautiful, especially the newer ships like the Pride.

The crew on Carnival were very friendly and outgoing. They did an excellent job. Food is always a personal preference but I thought the food on Carnival was as good as Princess and I believe Princess has had some of the best food I have had on 5 different cruise lines.

If you go with an open mind I think you will be very surprised at how great a time and how great of service you can receive on Carnival. It may not turn out to be your favorite cruise line, like I said I still prefer Princess, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with the product Carnival puts out. It may actually turn out to be your favorite.

Like I said it impressed me enough to rebook on them even though I prefer Princess. So I say if you feel it would work out better for you go ahead and give them a try. JMHO
