List of cost for Carnival excursions in Bahamas?

We are cruising on the Carnival Fantasy to The Bahamas and are trying to do lots of research to plan our short stay there. The Carnival website lists the available excursions, but it doesn't list a price for each. I am trying to plan out whether we do the Carnival excursions or book our own. Does anyone have a list, or at least know the prices of the ones you took? We spend a day in Nassua and a day in Freeport, so I'm looking for those two ports.

Thanks,
Guy

You can write to Carnivals customer service telling them the ship, dates, itinerary of your cruise and request excursions and prices..I did that and within a few days they emailed me back with the info

i called carnival -- first time got e-mail without prices, but second time with prices.
nassau has dolphin encounter. there is also a dolpin swim, but the swim must be booked through shoretrips.com. (the swim is more expensive and didn't include the taxi or ferry of about $20, but you actually get in the water and swim with them, rather than standing on the dock and touching them -- my kids will remember it forever!) if you want more info, e-mail me.

I took the Fantasy to Bahamas in 2001 and went back there again last year on Royal Caribbean. On the Fantasy we booked through Carnival the Blue Lagoon tour, which was about $40 or $45 per adult. Pretty expensive, but the Blue Lagoon is a beautiful little island where you spend the day and get food. It is paradise there. You can add to the Blue Lagoon tour swimming with stingrays or dophins, which would make it even more expensive, but unnessary. You can visit Stingray city there, and it was really crowded with people trying to snorket around. I don't think you could get to the Blue Lagoon on your own.
Last year, we went to the Hotel Atlantis in Nassau on our own. This place is a MUST SEE!!! The cruise line will offer tours from $50 and up. You can get there by water taxi at $6 per person both ways. You can walk around the hotel for free. To see the famous underwater aquarium is $25 per adult, however, the guards at the entrance are not very carefull and a lot of people I talked too actually sneaked in without paying. I hope that helps, Camelia
