Our June 2005 cruise aboard Summit ends in Seward, Alaska. We are going to stay one night in Seward and then go on to Anchorage and spend 2-3 nights there.

Any suggestions on places to stay? Recommendations?

Has anyone stayed at the Oscar Gill House (bed and breakfast) in Anchorage or the Ballaine House (bed and breakfast) in Seward? Any comments?

Many thanks!

I am sorry but i do not remember where we stayed while in Anchorage! Celebrity chose it for us as we were on a land tour through Denali National Park. Are you t aking that tour via the train?

I can tell you of a great place to eat fresh seafood though. It is called the Brew House. Your hotel should be able to tell you where it is located.

Got a very nice place for you to stay. Anchorage

I think the owners may have changed, but when we stayed June 1996 it was wonderful. The house had three rooms for our group with a kitchen living room etc. The frig. was stocked for us to use.
At that time it was about $98/room. Probably gone up, but should still be a deal. Breakfast was wonderful.
