Luggage Check-in San Juan Terminal

:girlyWe're on Adventure May 18th-25th and was wondering if American Airlines had a kiosk at the cruise terminal for airline check-in and luggage as they do in Miami? We are staying in San Juan the day we disembark and are taking a late day flight. We really don't want to go to the airport and wait for a few hours to be able to check luggage. They only allow you to check baggage 4 hours in advance at the airport and our flight isn't until 5pm.

Yes they do. Someone that came back from the AOS last week told me the price had gone up to $20 per person

$20.00 per person is still not bad for the convenience. The lines at the airport in San Juan for American is horrific in the AM. Even though we are first class passengers, it is still too hectic. Thanks for the info.

Details on Luggage valet (Check-in Service)

At this time is offered for guests flying with AA, DL ,UA, America West, AS, AC, NW and CO. Your flight needs to be the same day of ship’s arrival. Your final destination should be within the US. No international destinations are eligible at this time.

Can I purchase this service before the cruise?
Not at this time. This service can only be purchased onboard the ship. You will receive an invitation letter explaining the details of the program and requesting the airline information to check you in. You can also obtain information at the guest relations desk.

How is luggage tagged?
Valet tags are printed onboard for each bag and delivered to your stateroom along with instructions and boarding documents. These tags are very similar to standard ship departure tags but are personalized to each participating guest. They have a barcode that contains airline information, which is used by our vendor to generate the official airline tags once luggage is off the ship and at an approved airport location.

What happens to luggage once it is off the ship?
We have two different systems depending on the port.

The Standard Customs system Luggage is laid out with the rest of the luggage coming off the ship. Guests claim their luggage and present themselves to Customs. Once cleared, they proceed to a location outside Customs Hall and drop the luggage with our vendor's staff. Then luggage goes directly to an in-bond truck for transportation to the airport.
Ports with the Standard Customs system: Port Everglades, Miami and San Juan P.R.

The Integrated Customs system Luggage does NOT get laid out with the rest of the luggage coming off the ship. It goes directly to an in-bond truck for transportation to the airport. Guests present themselves to Customs and if required, will be reunited with their luggage for inspection. Ports with the Integrated Customs system: San Diego and Seattle.
