luggage tags?

I'm hoping that someone can answer this, we are sailing the Galaxy April 16th & when I picked up our cruise documents today, our travel agent said that we had been upgraded to a suite because our luggage tags say "Suite" on the ends. I was excited at first, but then I looked at the cabin category & it still said 02 (oceanview w/ veranda). Has this happened to anyone else & if so, did you end up getting an upgrade or were the luggage tags printed wrong?

Thanks!

Hi Weezy,
I suspect you are correct that it is a still a veranda cabin and not a suite. Because it is one of the better cabin categories, they might include it in the "suite" ranking to expedite luggage delivery to your cabin.
You could always go to Celebrity or one of the online TA websites and check the cabin number on the shipboard plans to see if it falls into the suite or oceanview cabin category.

I believe the cat 2 is going to be reclassified as a suite late April or May. They may have started the reclassification already. I know they started the Millennium before the published start date.

We're scheduled for Galaxy April 26th. We booked a cat 2 Veranda Cabin on the Penthouse deck. Our luggage tags also say suite. My TA thinks it's because the Veranda Cabins on Sky and Penthouse decks are now Concierge Class.

Celebrity's website has a new deck plan effective April 15th that shows these cabins as Concierge Class.

I called Celebrity to verify and they told me that Concierge Class is effective on sailings after April 27th.

However, posters on cruisecritics say that Concierge Class appears to be in place as of March 19th on the Galaxy.

So, that's probably why the tags say Suite. Expect to get what you originally booked and then hopefully you'll be surprised by the extra service.
