Luggage tags

We are taking a flight into Ft. Lauderdale for our cruise and was thinking whether or not we should place our luggage tags on before we fly or attach them when we pick them at baggage claim. IWe are afraid they may get ripped off after checking in at the airport but then also, it may help if they get lost there. Any suggestions? Thank you.

I'm a little lost..do you mean regular plain..home address luggage tags to put on bags???????...then yes indeed put them on..If you mean your Princess cruise tags to put on; to have them go through security and then get on loaded to the plane then to head to FLL....NO>>DO NOT PUT those on your luggage until you have landed in FLL and gotten them off the carousel..then you can put them on before you head to the pier..Hope I answered your question....:daisy..Joanne
