My husband and I are going on the Golden Princess 11 Jan to the Eastern Carribean and we have read that Megan's Bay is a nice place to visit. Can any of you shed some light on the subject. What is it like? Are there places there to change clothing? Any other ideas on what we can do in St. Martin and St Thomas? I would appreciate any help you can give us.

There has been a lot written about what to do in St. Thomas and St. Martin. You can review some of the past posts, there is a good search engine you can use on this screen. You can read reviews. I have one posted I describe our experiences. it is Hooked's Century, I also have pictures in the Gallery section, labeled Hooked's Century. There are so many things to do, it's hard to make your mind up.. After you read my review, you can email me to ask questions..

I haven't been to St. Martin yet, but St. Thomas was very beautiful. Downtown Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas has some really interesting shopping. Be sure to stop at my favorite place - Grandma Sandy's Cookie Shop. Everything there is absolutely incredible! Sandy is such a funny lady.

I've heard that Magen's Bay is pretty fantastic. Another place I'd consider is a short boat ride to St. John, where you could visit Trunk Bay. This beach is consistently rated as one of the top beaches in the world. It is part of the U.S. National Park Service. You can snorkle or sun-worship there, and there are lifeguards, changing rooms and showers.

Lots of other great things to do on St. Thomas/St John, so you shouldn't run out of anything to do. Hope you have a wonderful time - not too far away now :)

Went to Magen's bay in 2001 while sailing the Ocean Princess. If I remember right there are places to change and shower, not the greatest. There is also a bar and I think restaurant. This beach was voted one of the top 10 beaches in the world by the travel channel. The water is clear but there isn't much to see if you snorkel unless you go to the end or way out. Anyway, we loved it!
