I love watching planes land and just downloaded this shot of Maho Bay, St. Martin and now, obviously, that is where my next cruise will have to be. Sorry for the daftness but is that in the Eastern Caribbean? Any details like who cruises to that place would be so much obliged!!

I found my answer by reading into a thread by craftkook. Now i'll just have to find a ship that goes there and would there for no less than about 3 hours in order for me to get my fill, lol.

Maho Beach is on St. Martin. St. Martin is one of the more popular islands on the eastern Caribbean itineraries. Typically you are on your own if you want to go there. Just hire a taxi to take you there (they all know where it is). Here is a link to a map (you have to scroll down a little) ...

Philipsburg (lower right) is where the ships will dock. Macho Beach is on the lower left, just above and to the right of the "N" in the compass.

Hello Drydocked. It will be easy to find a cruise that goes to St. Maarten/Sint Martin. Many, many of the Eastern Caribbean cruises go there, and just about all Cruise lines have a number of ships sailing that route.

Getting the taxi while there is easy too. They have a very organised taxi stand a short walk from the ships. Be certain to allow plenty of time for the ride to and from. Traffic on St. Maarten can be awful. We took the taxi over to the Simpson bay area, the last time we were there. That took us 45 minutes, and Maho is a little farther on.
