We have a group of 4 couples going on the Mariner in June 08...my husband and I have been on this wonderful ship twice in the past 2 years. We were just wondering if there have been any changes in the bedding or the shows since last year. Thanks!

Thanks for the info...cant wait to check out the new bedding. Do you have any idea on the Captain and Cruise Director? Also, I read on here that Dec 08 the Mariner is moving. Any idea on what ship will take her place?

Hello RMW, What's interesting is that the Royal Caribbean web site is still selling the Mariner seven day cruises out of Port Canaveral, through March 23.

Either they will replace her with one of her identical sisters, or they'll have a mess on their hands fitting all those already booked people into cabins on another ship with a different deck plan.

The new bedding is to die for. It's like crawling into a giant marshmellow - but the mattresses are delightlfully firm.

There's been a lot of discussion about the Mariner being moved, but I don't think any decisions have been made. I can't remember where I heard it - but if she is moved, she'll go to the west coast sometime in the spring of 2008.

I heard that it is Monarch that is replacing Mariner in Port Canaveral. Monarch's too old and dumpy for the west coast.

I do know what I'm talking about....I just don't share what I know.

You calling me dumpy? You think I'm that "m" person, don't you?

I read on another website that RCI was cutting back live entertainment. The Dueling Pianos had been discontinued. We're going on the Mariner in Oct and don't like the sound of that. I'm looking for more info.
