Martini Bar on the Century and Sudi

An interesting article on the "New" Century makes for a interesting read. and it also mentions Sudi the magnificent Martini Guy.
I first ran into him when they opened their first Martini bar on the Zenith in 99 or so. He was a classic himself.
He makes the newspapers and he retires all in the Same week sort of thing. I understand that he finishes this week with X and will be returning to his home in Bali.
All staff on X should be as caring as he.

this link is to a paper in USA but I read it up here in local paper.

Sudi is absolutely one of a kind! He is not only a great bartender, but he is an entertainer with jokes, magic tricks, and all sorts of bar gimmicks. We have
always enjoyed his company. And, you hit the bulls eye with the observation that many other X employees could learn a bunch from his example.

We got back from the Century on Monday and saying goodbye to Sudi on his final cruise . He was very excited to be going back to Bali to be with his wife who is expecting their first child. Sudi is starting a new business as a tour operator in Bali. He'll be sending me an e-mail to let me know when his website will be ready and hopes many of the friends he has made over the years on Celebrity ships will contact him. It would be a treat for anyone vacationing in Bali to be shown the sights by Sudi personally. We wish him much success with his new venture. :thumb

I definitely will let everyone here know. I'll wait a while to see if I hear from him, otherwise I'll send him an e-mail after the holidays. I'm sure he must be very busy right now. I'm going on the Century again on Dec. 30th. The Martini Bar won't be the same for me and Mort without the fun of being with Sudi. Happy though - that he is moving on to bigger and better things.
