MARVIN HAMLISCH TO HOST 'CONCERT AT SEA' CRUISE
ABOARD CARNIVAL PRIDE IN FEBRUARY 2004
Week-Long Voyage Includes Special Live Performances, Exclusive
Meet-and-Greet Opportunities with Renowned Pianist and Composer
MIAMI (09/29/03) - World-renowned pianist and composer Marvin
Hamlisch -creator of the legendary Broadway show, A Chorus Line, and
composer of more than 40 motion picture scores - will host a "Concert at
Sea" cruise aboard Carnival Cruise Lines' 2,124-passenger Carnival Pride in
February 2004.
A portion of the proceeds from the voyage will be donated by Marvin Hamlisch
to the Larry King Cardiac Foundation, which provides funding for life-saving
cardiac care to those with limited financial means.
During the week-long cruise, which will depart Long Beach, Calif.,
Feb. 15, 2004, and feature port calls to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo
San Lucas, Mexico, Hamlisch will perform two exclusive, invitation-only
one-hour shows featuring many of his famous musical numbers from stage and
screen, all backed by a talented 10-piece orchestra. Participants will also
have an opportunity to meet the artist during a private cocktail reception
and a "coffee chat" on board.

won every major entertainment award, including three Oscars, four Grammys,
four Emmys, one Tony, and three Golden Globes, as well as a Pulitzer Prize
for his long-running Broadway show, A Chorus Line. Hamlisch has also served
as the composer for dozens of motion picture scores, including The Way We
Were, The Sting, Sophie's Choice and Ordinary People.
Hamlisch holds the position of Principal Pops Conductor with the
Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, as well as the National Symphony Orchestra in
Washington, D.C.
Hamlisch will perform in one of the Carnival Pride's 16 bars and
lounges, whose interiors are inspired by the "icons of beauty" that exist in
painting, architecture and other forms of artistic expression.
The 88,500-ton SuperLiner also houses four swimming pools, a
corkscrew water slide, a 14,500-square-foot health club, and a multitude of
dining options, including a two-level dining room, a casual poolside eatery,
an upscale reservations only supper club, 24-hour pizza, ice cream and
stateroom service, a patisserie, and a sushi bar.
Of Carnival Pride's 1,062 staterooms, 80 percent offer and ocean
view and 80 percent of those feature a private balcony.
