Does anyone have any information, or know where i can find any information on the massages(mainly in interested in the hot stone massages) on the Carnival Spirit or on them in general?

Going on the Spirit on Dec. 17th 2003 and want to get one for me and my girlfriend.

Any information would be great.

Thanks

The spas on Carnival ships are run by Steiner Spa. You can find information on the net by searching for Steiner Spa. A word of caution (I know from experience), the therapist will push a really "hard sell" on you to buy their products which are quite pricey. Knowing this ahead of time will let you be psychologically prepared. A friend had previously warned me & I was able to keep on saying "no" to them. Of course, if you want to spend a ton of money on spa products that will be no problem.

Whatever you decide, just have fun & enjoy!

It's me again Christopher,
Whenever I cruise my first thing to do is book a massage, otherwise they book up fast.
I do buy one of their products which I know really works. It is a tension reliever and is great. It is called Elemis Aromapure Instant refreshing gel.....It runs about $50 to 60.00. .A nice size tube and lasts me a long time. They do try to sell you other products with it but I just get this one...I have been using it for about 5 yrs now.....and usually get one once a year on the ships.
Besides the body massage they also have just the half massage which is the top part of your body and head...Had that one too...

Off hand I cannot remember the prices of the massages. Since there are different types of massages the prices are all different.
I do remember that towards the end of the cruise they offer a special for massages that is posted in their daily program that is put in a mail box on the side of your door. (yes, on the Spirit & Legend they have a mail box on the wall outside our cabin. no more papers slipped under the door)
If you contact Carnival direct they probably can give you a price list of massages.
Sorry I could not be of more help,
Marilyn

Our massage was $80...and yep they push the products...it was an OK experience if you don't really usually get massages....I have I go to here now and then and she is $50 and the best!!! I enjoyed it however just for the experience....my husband and I did the couples massage....which we thought would be in the same room at the same time....WRONG!!! That we were disappointed in....the funny thing was we had other stuff to go to afterwards and thought we were a bit 'oily" and hoped we didn't slide off of stuff!!! Next time I would plan time to go back to the cabin!! Have fun...an experience!

What? You weren't together for the couples massage? I can cross that one off my list for our cruise on the Imagination.

I just came off the Triumph and the 50 minute massages are usually $80-$100 depending on the one you want. I didn't get one, so I don't know if they are pushy or not. I did get a complimentary hair consultation, and I didn't feel pushed to purchase either their services or their products. I have had massages on other cruises and I highly recommend it....!!
