MAW Sun Morning report.

Apparently she didn't behave much last night. They were unable to give her the blood she needed due to some antibodies. Then her heart rate went funky and they moved her to ICU. No surgery today, I was able to talk with her this morning, she is really droggy and wasn't talking to well, but stated they had enough drugs in her now that the ankle wasn't hurting. Well update more later, if I learn any more.

I am glad they have her in the ICU where the nurses can pay real attention to Maw because she needs it right now but I am really ramping up the prayers for her to start healing so she can get the surgery she needs and get home. I am worried - have been since yesterday when she said she was falling asleep every time she sat down and I keep telling myself that I am being silly but....so lots of prayers and love being sent. I hope that Paw is taking care of himself too.

Thanks for updating us - I will continue to check back.

Well darn, NOT antibodies TOO!!!!! With that in mind, I'm wondering if Maw has been anemic for quite some time and that may have been part of the reason why she has been so wobbly when she tries to get around. Here's hoping the Bolivar Lab and their blood provider can find something compatible so she can get her ankle fixed. Brenda, I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this during tax season, or at ANY time for that matter. Prayers are headed your way for Maw and your entire family. Playing the medical "hurry up and wait" game is horrible! Tell Maw and Paw we love them and miss them.

Unfortunate that she has to be in ICU but at least they will keep a close eye on her. After so many weeks of her problems with adjusting to new meds & the dizziness, weakness, etc that seems to me have lingered way too long, perhaps they will actually get to the real problem. I hope that things turn around for her & they can get the surgery done so she can be on the road to recovery. Poor Paw, he has the disappointment of the cruise & the worry about Maw's recovery.

Brenda, tell Maw to start behaving herself : -) Not happy to hear that she is in ICU but glad that she is getting special care and hopefully she can get those anitbodies under control and get the surgery done on her ankle. Is she in her usual hospital?
Please tell both Maw and Paw that they are in our thoughts and prayers and that we miss them and love them.

Thank you, Brenda. I agree with the others that she will get excellent attention in the ICU. I think Jacquie may be onto something. Thoughts and prayers continue. I hope you, paw, and the rest of the family are doing well, also. HUGS.

I just read the post from the aft deck, but I didn't know that Maw was in ICU. Pain can cause the heart rate to jump up. Hopefully, they can get everything under control and due the surgery tomorrow. My prayers are with Maw and Paw.

Thank you for the updates.

I agee with you all, I think her system has been out of whack since Christmas, and that she is where she needed to be a month ago. Too bad it takes an accident to get it done, but think she put it off not wanting to jinx going on the cruise. ICU is a good place for her that way they can watch everything. It is hard to handle long distance, but I know the hospital and she is in good hands, if need be I am within in a 3 hour drive. She will be a new adjusted MAW when she goes home, I hope for a speedy recovery.
