Good Morning @ddict friends
Happy Grandparents Day!!!
Not as cool this morning as yesterday. We did make it up to 79 yesterday but with the strong NW wind it felt about 60.
I had a nice time out with my friends from work. I think there was about 30 of us there. I had frog legs & they were great.
Well I see some of our cruisers have made it back & others have extended their fun a few more days. Nieciez I really liked that picture of the group. You sure are making memories for all those children,
No plans for the day here yet. I have left over frog legs for later.
Take care

Mornin' Janpep, and to all Maw's Office Ramble Gang!!

I am up and watching Sunday Morning...drinking tea, and wrapped up in a blanket on the couch. It is 72 here this a.m., and with the windows and doors open, I am chilling. Den is on the other couch and wrapped up in his blanket. LOL

Glad that the Dream Cruisers are all home safe and sound. Can't wait to see more pictures!!

Toodles!!

Good morning Jan and Ramblers. Sunny and nice day here in Locust Grove VA and as much as I didn't want to get off the Dream, my bed sure was nice to sleep in...though I MUST say the Carnival bedding is wonderful...nice mattresses and the pillows were perfect not flat or hard bricks. The bedding on the Diamond Princess sucked in comparison LOL. I just got up from a nice late sleep in. Leatherneck and I were up early every morning to meet Maw and Paw for Maw's Breakfast Club :sunny: Sure missing them this morning. I did try and call them last evening but they must have been out around the pool.

Jan, so glad you enjoyed your outing with your friends. I think your cooler weather is heading our way. 79 is suppose to be our high today.

Since today is Grandparent's Day here is a pic of me and the youngest grands from our Build-a-Bear activity in Camp Carnival...they were having so much fun I had to have an animal of my own too....it is a calico cat. The oldest three grandsons got new watches instead LOL.

Good morning everyone! Denise that is so great you got to cruise with your grandchildren - I hope to do that one day - even though I only have 2! I didn't know you could build calico cats - our cat is a calico!! Gotta look for one of those!

So glad football starts again today - there go my sundays for the next 5 months but I love it!

Also going to a craft sale close by this morning. Then I will get in craft mode myself and make ornaments to sell at the next fair in November.

Supposed to be raining today - but not so far - let's hope it holds off!

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning Jan and gang,

Jan, Glad you had a nice outing with your friends yesterday.

Nieciez, I absolutely love that photo of you and Gkids.

Corky, it's cool here too this morning. It's sort of nice to get a brake from the heat that we had.

Donna, have fun at the Greek Fest today. I too like Gyros.

ABW, so nice to see your post. I hope that you get the lawn mower up and running. With the rain the grass is growing at a rapid pace.

We're going to the Farmers Market in a while. Meeting up with DD Ria's family there for lunch.

Good morning. Welcome home to the Zlater family. Love the shot of the kids & their bears & Grandma! That will be quite a memory.

It is a cloudy warm morning but still dry. We are meeting my brother & a cousin & their wives for lunch & the weather has decided what I will wear. An outfit that has a hood!

Have a great Sunday.

Good morning everyone.

Quite chilly here this morning. Fall is definitely in the air. The leaves have started to turn - early this year.

Denise -- I love the picture. You all look so cute.

Everyone have a good day.

:sunny:Good Morning gang,First AM in a long time I am taking time for ME..:)
got up later, as Mark had Nascar on last noc, and with all the delays it ended at almost 2AM!!!

got laundry churning, sheets out in a few, bed done, and Mark vacuumed the entire house while I did the bathrooms..
his lungs are junky, and he's coughing fits..but much better...we were supposed to go home, but with Mark trying to go from a bad cold to Bronchitis, and my folks NOT needing to get exposed, at 70 & 77 they are in very good health for the most part..but still and all..

my parents 18 year old Patriarch Red Deer Giant- Braveheart passed a few days ago, and my sister's Coast Guard party function at the Farm went well, it was kept quiet till after the party..I feel bad for them, they'll probably be wanting a new one ; we shall see. they still have well over 30 Girl's, and the 10,000 blueberry plants..less work but that's never been the point...they just love the farm itself, it's my Father's reprieve from the craziness of the Engineering firm..oh well..
got almost all of my preserve's and pickles set, just a chance to do blueberry when we get home to Maine in a few weeks.
DD oldest twin Jenny and her Fiance picked a date..Labor Day next year..and DD Julia and her Ben are due in December with a Baby Girl..so inasmuch as I have 2 cruises in the next 4 months, and a wedding, and another grand, we have been flat out...

my hours have peaked at 110 plus every 2 weeks for about 2 months again.and I am not due for a decrease till we leave next month.with cruises only 7 weeks apart and we *ARE* going!!...we shall see. I am on weekends only every 3rd..but I may have to get grumpy and do every third Saturday 7A-7P, and then every 4th weekend, after we get back in November..I'm grinding down faster....
Mark is at full tilt-they are moving the entire building and contents to a new lab 2 miles away, and it's year end for paving for the state..um needless to say-he's nuts..well I have DD Jenny bringing our borrowed truck back, she and her Matthew close on their first house in 2 weeks..so they have to move from their rental to the new one..
last month finally got to DS Stephen and his fiance's "new" ( a year ago..:( ) house 2 1/2 hours away in NY State.

:bawl:.one of the reasons I got such a bee in my bonnet after Aruba and after getting back from Mary Ann's funeral about weekends and time off..was that we had such a feeling that we were giving up too much of our families time by the hours.. so it's been evolving I get weekdays and less weekends, now it also is 12-16 hour days;but since I am the 2nd most Senior nurse for longevity in the entire facility at almost 8 years.. and only per diem -as scheduled... but at least I am meeting goals of more hands on kids/grands/parents for the both of us!!!

...it all works for the family, vacations, and still paying the bills.....but as I approach 53 years old, I know the grind wears faster for sure ..so my stand of being steadfast for MY choice-well I sure hold to it!!!
well the sun is shining, I have to get trucking..take care all.prayers for all those in need....hugs Joanne

Good morning everyone. Here I am, missing from here a long time but it's still been busy. Seems like I am constantly going day and night.

Ashley and I went to the place she is having her wedding to see how it was set up for a small wedding. I think it's going to be beautiful when the time comes. We need to be thinking decorating ideas and neither of us is very good with decorating. Luckily I have a sister who is very good with decorating and a friend who works for a decorator. The ladies that take care of the venue also offer services so it should be OK.

Need ideas for favors though. Photo booths and candy tables have been over done here. Looking for something fresh and different if any has any ideas. Might be best to PM me so I don't miss it.

I am hoping to stick close to home today but have to show property later this evening. Hopefully all goes smoothly today.

morning all!

weather is nice out here, suns out with a nice cool breeze :sunny: Just preparing for a start of football sundays :cheer: hope everyone is having a great morning!

ABW, so nice to see your post. I hope that you get the lawn mower up and running. With the rain the grass is growing at a rapid pace.

Thanks Connie Seabee! yes, we will have to see if we can get the mower going again. likely on commercials during football so the hubby can help  I can no longer see my smaller pup, Savanna, through the grass... just her tail cutting a path lol. We couldnt mow for a while cause of the steady rain so now its a jungle!

Good Afternoon everyone - Grey day here but less humidity and cooler temps (only 68* now). Big waves are coming our way as the recent Hurricane passes us out at sea. Can't wait to see the surf.

Not much is new around here - waiting for intestinal surgery so not on line as much as I would like to be. Reading a lot more lately and really cannot wait until I can get back into my kitchen to cook (don't do much when it's hot & humid).

DH's work schedule has changed and he is back to working nights again which has been an adjustment. We are finding that I just don't eat enough with him not here so working on that as my weight is dropping quickly again. Cooler weather should get me cooking and eating more again

Hope everyone travelling stays safe and all have a nice Sunday

Afternoon Gang!!

Thought I would sit down and take a rest. I am working on two 30" X 18" stained glass windows, and, as of today, I have one completely lead camed. I was going to start on the other, but, I pooped out. So, I took my shower and started a load of wash. I am done for the day.

I have to go to work tomorrow to cover for the Monday lady. That helped me to make my decision on not starting the lead caming on the other window. LOL

Cruise-cutie...I hear you on running until we are out of gas, and it does get harder the older we get. Who ever knew that! I surely didn't - and why didn't someone tell us!! I thought I would have the same amount of energy forever. I guess the joke is on me/us.

Can't wait to hear that Maw & Paw are home safely. I worry about them running about hither and yon. But, I am so glad that they can! :sunny:

Toodles!
