Mazatlan stop on the Splendor

Has anyone heard if Carnival is going to stop anywhere else or will it just be 2 stops for the Splendor. We are on the Splendor on April 3rd and I called our travel agent and she didn't even know that Carnival wsn't going there, so she called Carnival and they said that it is only for the month of March. Has anyone heard if it will be extended to April?

Perhaps you should call again. I can't remember what John Heald said outside of the fact that Carnival will not be stopping at Mazatlan until August. It seems like one ship might have been stopping in Manzanilla, while others were getting a second day in Cabo. But the decision was made late last week so perhaps your travel agent can find out more now.

Why doesn't Carnival go to Cabo on Tuesday, La Paz on Wednesday and PV on Thursday?  That way everyone gets three ports instead of only two.

We are on the April 10th departure and this is the port schedule they gave us.
Weare very unhappy as it is a schedule that is totally favorable to the company and doesnt take into account the passangers at all.

Monday - at Sea
Tuesday - at Sea
Wednesday - Cabo
Thursday - PV
Friday - Cabo
Saturday - at sea

I would respectfully disagree. Carnival is most definitely taking the passengers in to account by not calling at a port that has been deemed to be unsafe. Lots of other lines are doing the same thing.

I hope you have a great cruise

An extra day in Cabo or take a chance of getting killed....... kinda like multiple choice.

More and more of Mexico is becoming unsafe, for Mexicans as well as tourists. Downtown, highly traffic areas, there isn't even safety in numbers in
some of these areas. As Michael says, the cruise lines are being totally responsible in bypassing Mazatlan under the current conditions. These people
have no concern over who gets in the way of a shootout over a bag of marijuana. Besides, Mazatlan is pretty much a cesspool anyway so if the cruise
line gives me a choice of Mazatlan or an extra day in Cabo, it's a no brainer.
