Does anyone have any information about the Sun going into Drydock in September? We are set for the 10/4 TA from Dover to Port Canaveral which was supposed to be the 1st cruise after coming out of drydock. There is now a 14-day cruise scheduled for 9/20-10/4 so I am wondering if it has been canceled. I have read that the ship is very rundown and desperately in need of refurbishment. Any insight would be appreciated!!!

As for her being run down etc, just a year ago (a little more) when 2.0 went into effect she was given new beds, some new furn, new linens etc. You can find negatives no matter what if you look hard enough. We sailed a Princess ship about 2 years ago, I read a few similar comments about that ship. When we got on board I had to look everywhere for any signs of the ship being run down. I did find a little bit of mold between a couple of tiles around the pool and one missing tile. She is one of NCLs oldest ships now, a whole 9 years: wow.
As for dry dock, yes, the Sun is going into dry dock and where did you seen a 9/20 cruise listed. I just checked as I have a client that would love to sail her while she is still in the UK. I found nothing..
