My mom is so excited that I have found this site ... she now has a question about meals ... what happens if she orders more than she can eat ... can she take it back to her stateroom ...

I really can't answer your question, because I usually eat everything I order. You can
order as much as you want. But I guess you can ask the waiter for a plate to take back to your cabin. But let me tell you this, the midnight buffet has a lot of food also. You will never go hungry on a cruise.

She can ask the waiter to cover it with a warming cover. She can also order a little of this or a little of that and add to the order as she feels the need. If she doesn't like it she doesn't have to finish it or feel bad that she wasn't able to eat it. She can just ask for something different.

Yes, you can take food from the dining room back to your cabin. Then only time I have done it was on our room stewardess birthday. We told the waiter it was my daughters, and when the cake came we ordered extra ice cream, and we told the waiter we wanted to take it to our cabin..... No Problem ~~!!~~
If your mon doesn't eat it all, don't worry there is ALWAYS food available !!
